Four-time Olympic champion Laura is expecting her first child with her six-time gold medallist husband, Jason.

Laura (née Trott), 24, announced the news on Instagram, posting a snap of the couple’s bikes next to a child’s bicycle.

Jason, 28, then replied on Twitter, with a picture of a pamphlet – which was featured in an episode of The Simpson’s – with ‘So you’ve ruined your life,’ written across it.

The couple tied the knot in 2016.

Agent Luke Lloyd-Davies said the couple and their families are ‘absolutely thrilled and delighted with the news'.

‘They very much appreciate all the kind wishes and messages of support that they have received already,’ he told the Evening Standard.
