The mum-of-six defended herself against trolls being rude about her children's tea, pointing out the most important thing was that they were 'being fed'

As parents, we know how exhausting it can be trying to come up with meal ideas every single day for our little ones.

And on those 'have no energy' days, or 'simply don't have the time' days, it can certainly be a relief to grab something quick and easy out of the freezer to serve up.

But one mum , Emma Williams, has had to hit back at trolls criticising her for giving her kids a quick freezer meal for tea, after being shamed online.

'Freezer meals are still meals, children are still being fed'

Emma , aka @emmawill2014 on TikTok, regularly uploads videos to her account documenting life with her 6 kids.

However, the mum often receives backlash from users judging her parenting style.

She recently uploaded a clip to the platform where she can be seen serving chicken dippers, potato pops and spaghetti hoops to 5 of her six children for tea, but once again, faced a backlash.

Captioning the video which has racked up 10.3k likes and 139 comments on TikTok, she wrote: 'Let's dish up dinner for my 5/6 kids. Freezer meals are still meals, children are still being fed.'

'So unhealthy and not a great example – well done'

One TikTok user snapped: 'Is it hard to cook a proper meal?'

'So unhealthy and not a great example – well done,' remarked another.

Emma says she hopes to remove the stigma around giving kids freezer meals for tea, and regularly shares videos showing herself serving up 'quick and easy' dinners.

However, the clips are often met with commenters telling her she needs to feed her children 'properly.'

Responding to criticism, Emma said: 'As many of you know, I am a mother on TikTok who makes very simple, easy, sometimes freezer meals. Very easy, very child likeable food.

'The thing that I don't do is go over onto someone's page who gives their kids quinoa and these lunch boxes with all these different things that I know my kids would never eat and judge them.'

'It's a hearty warm meal, some children don't even get that'

Others though, were supportive.

'Can we also remember that not everyone can afford fresh organic food?! It's so much more expensive than frozen and it's the same thing,' one user said.

'It's a hearty warm meal, some children don't even get that,' pointed out another.

A third wrote: 'As long as it's cooked and not still frozen when they eat it.'
