The Mamba is a sporty and affordable four-wheeled pushchair that can be used as a travel system, and also have a carrycot attached. It’s firmly in the mid-point of the market, costing around £500. This includes the carrycot, but you’ll have to buy a car seat separately.
It has a popular 3-in-1 functionality so can be used in three ways, as a pushchair, pram with the carrycot attached and also as a travel system. This type of pushchair system is extremely popular, but can be bulky, so always check that your car’s boot is large enough, plus that you have the space to park and store all the extra bits!
The Mamba is compatible with the ABC Design Risus car seat and also some Maxi Cosi models, but you’ll have to buy adaptors to attach them. Having the option to use it as a travel system makes getting out and about with your baby much easier, as you can transport them from house, to car, to shops and back again without disturbing them or taking them out of their seat. There’s also a matching carrycot for extra newborn comfort, which has the added advantage of being suitable for overnight sleeping. This means that you might not have to buy a travel cot or bassinet for the early months.
There are lots of practical features that’ll make you love the Mamba, the super comfortable foam-padded handlebar that can be adjusted to different heights, the wheels that can be removed for easier and more compact storage. The wheels can be locked or left to swivel so you can easily cope with different types of terrain and the robust adjustable suspension ensures a comfortable ride for your child. The brake is operated by hand, giving you greater control if you need to park the pushchair suddenly.
Other extras include a luxuriously padded seat liner, shoulder and crotch pads, as well as a raincover and sun canopy. The raincover is HUGE and easily covers the shopping basket, too. We also like the retractable SPF 50+ sunshade that will protect your child from wind as well as sun.

ABC Design produce stylish and practical pushchairs that don’t cost the earth, and the Mamba is no exception, and gives real value for money, all the way from birth to around age four.
