Friends star Jennifer Aniston has revealed she 'threw everything' at trying to get pregnant and how constant speculation in the press added to her pain.

Friends star Jennifer Aniston, 53, has opened up about her fertility struggles in a raw and honest interview with Allure magazine.

The actress, who has been married to both Brad Pitt and Justin Theroux, endured years of pregnancy rumours in the press and hurtful speculation that her partner 'left her because she wouldn't give him a kid'.

She has now revealed that this was 'absolute lies' and added to her personal pain as she was 'throwing everything at getting pregnant at one point'.

In the interview, she shared she was undergoing fertility treatment in her late 30s and 40s, including an unsuccessful IVF journey, which she called a 'challenging' experience.

I was going through IVF, drinking Chinese teas, you name it. I was throwing everything at it.

She said:

'I was trying to get pregnant. It was a challenging road for me, the baby-making road.

'All the years and years and years of speculation... It was really hard. I was going through IVF, drinking Chinese teas, you name it. I was throwing everything at it.'

Revealing that she wished she had thought about freezing her eggs when she was younger, Jennifer added:

'I would've given anything if someone had said to me, "Freeze your eggs. Do yourself a favour." You just don't think it. So here I am today. The ship has sailed.'

However, she said that she had now come to terms with not having a child, saying:

'I have zero regrets. I actually feel a little relief now because there is no more, "Can I? Maybe. Maybe. Maybe." I don't have to think about that anymore.'

Revealing why she'd decided to speak of her fertility struggle now, Jennifer said:

'I’ve spent so many years protecting my story about IVF. I’m so protective of these parts because I feel like there’s so little that I get to keep to myself. The world creates narratives that aren’t true, so I might as well tell the truth. I feel like I’m coming out of hibernation. I don’t have anything to hide.'

Jen, who was married to fellow actors Brad Pitt from 2000 to 2005, and Justin Theroux from 2015 to 2018, starred in TV sitcom Friends for 10 years, from 1994 to 2004, playing waitress-turned-fashion-buyer Rachel Green.
