1kg potatoes

3 carrots

2 celery (sticks)

bacon (8x rashers)

8 sausages (1x packet)

1 tsp thyme

1 tsp parsley

1 vegetable stock cube

4 dumplings (optional)

Cover all the ingredients with hot water

Dissolve and add the stock cube

Bring to the boil and then simmer until everything is cooked (usually an hour)
