Baby bites during feeding. Please help!

I am writing here on behalf of my partner seeking help/advice on her unfortunate situation with our 9-month old daughter. Her teeth have come out, and now every time she latches on for a feeding she lands precisely on the spot where she'd made a wound. My partner is really broken up about it. She says that the pain is unbearable, and I've never seen her cry so hard.

If there is any advice that you all could offer in this matter then I know that both she and I would be most grateful.

Is your partner able to feed from her other breast where there isn't a wound? My baby chews, scratches and pulls on mine, but I'm lucky enough that it doesn't hurt me now, maybe she'll reach that point too?
