Hi everyone.

I came off the pill on 13th March and had a withdrawal bleed 19th march for 3 days.

This morning it was brown and watery when I wiped, I did also take a test because didn't realise till wiped, it came back negative.

Since then there has been nothing on a pad and when I wipe just more watery brown. I have got very mild on and off cramping, tender breasts.

Could it be implantation bleeding or would my test have come back positive?

Is it just the start of my period?

I have been pregnant before but never experienced implantation bleed so don't know what to expect.

Any reply would be appreciated.

Many thanks 😊 x

Hi Kirsty,

To get an accurate result you have two main choices:

1. Use an early detection pregnancy test that allows you to test as soon as four or five days before your period is due. You can read more here : https://www.netmums.com/pregnancy/how-soon-can-you-take-a-pregnancy-te st

2. Stick to NHS advice that says the most reliable time to test is any time from the first day of a missed period OR at least 21 days after having unprotected sex (if you don't know when your next period is due).

Good luck!

If you haven't already, do go over to our TTC club and chat to others on the same part of the journey as you: https://www.netmums.com/coffeehouse/becoming-mum-ttc-64/trying-conceive-clubs-525/
