Cheesy jalapeño bites

I am 10 weeks pregnant and I ordered myself food earlier and ordered cheesy jalapeño bites ate one and then remembered you’re not supposed to have soft cheese while pregnant will this be okay?

You will be fine...its because theres a higher chance of soft cheese containing listeria bacteria, but this is still only a small chance overall, don't worry, its more of a precaution x

To be fair its more like brie and stuff like that thats the issue them bites are fine

The reason why soft cheese is a no nonsense due to some of the types being prepared differently hence the risk of listeria. Unpasteurised things I thing it is. Cream cheese should be fine especially ofnots one of the big brands they can't risk any sort of taint . Ie philadelphia . I know I ate it with DD but things change so much every years sometimes its impossible to keep track don't beat yourself up its only advised against to minimise the risk of upset tummies.

The type of cheese in those is fine it’s normally mozzarella

Really, try not to worry.


I didn't know I was pregnant until 20 weeks with my 2nd daughter, so I was eating all sorts - shellfish, soft cheese, pate etc. and she was born a very healthy 9lb 9oz with no ill effects. I'm sure baby will be fine x
