Hi guys

i am really struggling with my 3 month olds naps, she just ALWAYS fights her sleep no matter how long her wake times are. There’s been a few times where she’s managed to put herself to sleep but would soon wake up after 10-20 mins. I use white noise machine which seems to help but I always end up having to rock her loads in order for her to fall asleep, she loves burying her face into me. For night time sleep she’s not too bad as she’s got a routine but still have to rock her loads in the arms before laying her down into her crib.

Have you got any tips on how I could help her to self soothe? Perhaps some gadgets worked for your LOs? My back won’t be able to do this for much longer 🫣

Hi Patricia,

Thank you for posting.

Some LOs will need some extra cuddles and reassurance to be able to settle down to have a nap or sleep.

We don't recommend any sleep strategies until 6 months of age but I wonder if the below links around sleep in younger babies may help you in some way.

I hope others will come and offer their suggestions on what worked well for them to support their LOs sleep at this young age.

All the best
