Another relaxing Easter activity to keep little ones quiet for a while, is to get them to come up with their own Easter story and to write it down.

If they want a bit of inspiration, how about the adventures of the Easter bunny?
The kids can then take turns reading their stories, or acting them out.
11. Visit some baby animals
Spring is the perfect time to visit some newborn baby animals.
If animal farms aren't open yet, the kids will love a stroll in the countryside to see the baby lambs, or a trip to the park to see ducklings in a nearby pond.
Some farms and zoos also stream video feeds of their cute baby animals online, so you don't have to miss out even if the weather's rubbish or you're strapped for cash!

Get the heart pumping with a fun family bike ride .
Whether it's just around your neighbourhood or out and about in the countryside somewhere new, everyone will love it.

Just print out or draw a large picture of a bunny and stick on a wall. Then add some sticky tape to a cotton wool ball, blindfold your child and see where the bunny tail lands up!
You could all have a go, with the person closest winning a chocolatey prize.
20. Do a bunny hop sack race
Grab some old sacks (or if you haven't got those, a pillowcase will do) and have a family bunny hop race.
It's best to do this in the garden or a park if you can, to avoid any injuries from bumping into tables or shelves!
21. Build an indoor (our outdoor!) den for the Easter Bunny
What child doesn't like building a den at home?! This is especially great on a rainy day when you can't get outside.

22. Visit a garden centre or pet shop
If everyone's feeling a bit bored of being stuck at home, why not head to a garden centre and get the kids to pick out some new plants and flowers?

24. Build a fairy garden
The kids will absolutely love building their very own fairy garden.
All you need is:
- a large plant pot
- some soil
Then bits and pieces like:
- pebbles (which you can paint)
- old lolly sticks to make a fence
- some flowers (could be real or fake)
- and anything else your little one would like to make their fairy garden complete.
25. Make printed art work using vegetables
This super easy idea is great fun for kids, and will help to keep them occupied this Easter!.
Just grab different shaped fruit and veg, slice in half, get the paints out and watch them make fun and colourful printed artworks.
Older kids could even carve patterns into the veg (with adult supervision, of course!)
26. Get the kids to put on an Easter play
Kids tend to be fairly dramatic most of the time, so why not get them to put those skills to good use by putting on a play for the adults?
It can be the story of Easter, or something much more simple, and they can use teddies and other toys as props. The only limit is their imagination!
27. Have a spring clean ...
... and get the kids to help!
It feels really good to give the house a good old spring clean from top to bottom, and by making it into a bit of a game the kids will actually enjoy helping.
You could also use it as an opportunity to sort out their toys and what they want to keep, throw out, or give to charity.
28. Do some Easter face paints
Easter's a great excuse to crack out the face paints.
Try your hand at painting your little one as the Easter Bunny, an Easter egg, or a chick.
Or you could do a spring-themed baby animal – a lamb, duckling, foal – whatever your child likes best.
Team the look with a fab homemade Easter bonnet , if you want to go all out!
29. Have a tea party with Easter treats

They can paint the pasta shells once dried on, too. It'll make for a lovely gift for grandma or grandad.
32. Try birdwatching
Easter is about the time that the birds' dawn chorus starts up again, and also when lots of baby birds start to hatch, so it's the perfect time to try out birdwatching.
Take a pair of binoculars out with you on your next woodland walk and see what you can spot.
Or listen out for tweeting and try to name the birds you can hear – there are lots of YouTube videos that can help you learn to recognise different bird calls.
33. Recite some Easter poems
Bookworms and aspiring writers will love sitting down to read some Easter poems – they might even be inspired to write some of their own.
We've got a great list of poems about Easter eggs, bunnies and the religious side of the holiday to get you started.
34. Have an egg and spoon race
This classic family race is an eggcellent active game to try in the garden or your local park.
Simply line everyone up and get them to hold an egg with a spoon. Then see who can get to the end of the race course and back fastest without dropping their egg.
Boil the eggs first to avoid lots of smashed eggs all over the garden. Alternatively, plastic eggs are a good crack-proof option.
35. Make a nature collage
Spring has officially sprung by April, with all sorts of flowers and leafy plants making their reappearance outside.
On your next walk, get your kids to collect items from nature that they can use later to make a collage.
This is a nice sensory activity that will encourage your kids to actively engage with their surroundings in the outdoors.
36. Play the Chocolate Game
It is Easter, after all!
Set out some chocolate eggs and bunnies on a plate with a knife and fork. Leave a pile of dressing up clothes next to the plate.
Sit your kids in a circle around the plate and clothes and have them roll two dice one by one.
If a kid rolls doubles, then they must put all the fancy dress clothes in the middle before attempting to eat the chocolate with the knife and fork.
In the meantime, the other kids keep passing the dice to the left and rolling. If someone else rolls doubles, they replace the kid in the middle.
You won't believe how many times doubles actually come up – it can take ages for all the chocolate to get eaten!
