Advice please:

My daughter who will be 16 in Mya wants to bring her boyfriend (who is 16 in June) on our family holiday to France at the end of July. My wife think that its not a good idea. I think the opposite. They will be sleeping in separate rooms (obvs) & will be well supervised. My younger daughter is bringing a friend with her too. They will have been dating for 10 months by this time. He really is a lovely lad (good school, works hard, sporty, polite) comes from a nice family. He comes round to our house often & they basically muck about watching TV, games etc. Yes there is a bit of snogging/cuddling going on, but nothing else. I think it would create some good memories & keep her happy also after her GCSE's. thoughts please from Mums??

Why exactly does your wife think it's a bad idea?

Based on what you say here, as a dad I'd have no problem; after all, the two of them are old enough to get married (with parental consent in England, or without it in Scotland), or to go away on holiday without their parents, so I can't really think of a good reason not to take him along unless you or he can't afford it.

I'll be honest, if this was my family, I'd do what my mum and dad did when I was the same age- rent a scooter or get public transport tickets for the pair of them, in return for some babysitting duties on holiday.

Yes don't see why not been together 10 months and he's around the house alot they have s good relationship not arguing etc I don't see why not. I wouldn't do separate rooms but definitely have the door open. Are they having sex I know you may not no but by this age they usually are. Just make sure yourndaughter knows safe sex etc. Can all enjoy a holiday together they may not last as young but I don't see why not why does ur wife think its bad idea?
