Hello, I have had a rather complicated couple of weeks. I am 6+1 today according to my last missed period date. Unfortunately, last Wednesday I experienced awful cramping pains, accompanied by vomiting and feeling very faint, which I ended up going to A&E for. I waited 11 hours, and was sent home and told to come back the next day for a scan. The scan showed I had a pregnancy in my uterus, but that I had a ruptured ovarian cyst and was bleeding heavily internally. I was rushed into theatre and lost 1L of blood in total. I spent a couple of days in hospital and feel I am recovering well. I was told at the scan on Friday 31/03 (where they discovered the rupture cyst) that my hcg was very high (around the 7000 mark), at which point I would’ve been 5+2, and because of this the gynaecologist suspected twins. This is my second pregnancy and with my first I was horrendously sick so I suspect I just have quite ‘strong’ pregnancies? Not too sure. I experienced a very small amount of bleeding yesterday, phoned the hospital and they had me in and scanned within the hour. The sonographer said that the gestational sac has grown since the last scan, but there is no fetal pole or heartbeat visible, I was 6 weeks exactly yesterday. I am going back in 7-10 days for another scan but i am going out of my mind with worry. Obviously there was a chance of miscarriage from the operation for the ruptured cyst, heavy bloody loss etc. I’m experiencing moderate morning sickness since Sunday so I’m taking that as a good sign? I just keep thinking about molar pregnancy though☹️ although I think 7000 hcg is still within normal range for 5 weeks from what I’ve read online. Has anyone had a scan at 6 weeks and no fetal pole/ heartbeat was visible and the pregnancy still progressed and was viable? I should mention, the sonographer didn’t seem concerned at all and said all looks okay for now.
