Hi Natalie,

I didn't want to read and run. Hopefully I can give you a little bit more hope to keep going.

I am currently 27 weeks with my rainbow baby and I conceived just after I had turned 40. I won't lie, it's not been an easy journey for me personally. We started trying in jan 2020 and unfortunately had 3 losses. BUT, the most important thing is that I conceived again and everything is going great (a couple of complications, but only means I'm likely to need a c section, my little girl is growing perfectly).

I did end up on progesterone pessaries...no idea if this played a factor or helped in any way though.

Please dont lose hope, it's hard to get the bfn each month, but that bfp will be so special.

Are you trying for your 1st? How long have you been trying for?

everyone’s situation is different, for me, I have low egg reserve at 36 so it’s harder for me to get pregnant but I wouldn’t have known this had I not gone for tests to see why me and my partner weren’t getting pregnant after two years of trying naturally
I had two children in my teens and 20s so I just assumed everything was still ok. so we’re going down the IVF route to speed things up! I know so many women who’ve had babies in their late 30s - mid 40s. My friend has just fallen pregnant with twins at 40! When you’re older you could release more than one egg so.. you never know! Just keep trying and good luck đŸ€žđŸŒ

Same age as you are now hun we had been trying for about 3 years during that time we'd miscarried 4 babies one at 16 weeks 3 at around 8/9 weeks I'd always enjoyed reflexology and it seemed each time I'd had the treatment I'd conceive the lady who did the treatment knew I was TTC so payed extra special interest in the front of the ankle area we did final have our dreams answered and at 41 we had our boy so hang on in there if you fancy the reflexology give it a hood it's very relaxing too good luck xx

Hi Claire thanks for your reply. That's so lovely to hear your having a girl 💖 I have three boys already but this will be my first with my current partner we haven't had the easiest of times past few years. We both felt wasn't the right time when we first met and now I feel like we've left it too late as have been trying over a year now but trying to stay positive I think I need to start tracking my ovualtion properly thanks for replying I appreciate it xx

Thankyou Scarlett this has made me feel so much better. Maybe I should see my doctor ? As we've been trying over year. I also had my first two sons teens and twenty's then another early 30s so you do just assume all is ok x

I'm so sorry to hear about your miscarriages that's so sad I have three healthy boys already so I'm so grateful when I hear stories like this can't imagine what you went through. The reflexology sounds interesting I will look into it I'm so stressed out all the time lately it can't be helping. That's so lovely you got your boy in the end thankyou for replying xx

Hi Natalie, I had my daughter at 40. We had been trying for 2 years, in that time I had a cancer scare and we decided to stop trying and enjoy life. Six months later I got pregnant but lost the baby at 11 weeks. Five months later I conceived our daughter. It was a difficult pregnancy from 20 weeks though, ended up with gestational diabetes. She was born by emergency cesarean at 38 weeks, she was perfect.

Don't give up hope x

Wow I can’t believe we have the same situation almost! It might be worth mentioning that I had my other children with two different partners, plus I was younger, so I have been left, wondering whether me and my current partner aren’t as compatible
As I know I have low egg reserve, but, you only need one healthy egg per month! And his sperm is good (could be worse, could be better sort of thing) I would just keep trying and doing as you’re doing and be safe in the knowledge that you’ve had children before so you know that you can do this! And then, maybe in time you could go to the doctors and just get a blood test
It’s a start and then maybe you might get an answer but to be honest, I’ve got a good feeling it’ll happen to you :-) it’s just so annoying that sometimes it takes so long!! Xx
