I would probably say I masterbate around 3 times a week alone and have sex 3 times a week these days.

When in a relationship I had the lowest sex drive ever. Now that I’m single I do it 3/5 times a day. I’ve just ordered myself 6 new toys too.
The difference is that when I was in a relationship the sex was ok and if I did touch myself I’d think about whoever I was dating at the time. It’s weird to w*nk over your ex though so I started to just imagine men. That was the key! imaginary sex is far better than any real sex. I know what I like and what I want and there’s no judgment. No one to belittle you or make you feel self conscious. Now I’m free to fantasise about whatever floats my boat.

Thank god for this thread because I was worried I was a freak for masturbating as often as I do, but it definitely looks like I'm not alone!
I masturbate twice a day on average, but during lockdown it's been more like three or four. Most are just quick ones, maybe a sneaky one on the toilet or in the shower, but I need at least one nice long session every day with my toys, and I definitely can't go to sleep without a couple of decent orgasms!
I'm in my 40s and you'd think my sex drive would have calmed down a bit, but far from it. Mind you, I never had kids, which I know affects some women's libido.
Same as Ellie, I can't get enough of it, especially since I trained myself to squirt. And I LOVE showing off to my OH who is useless in bed!

I don't know if it's the same for everyone, but I've always viewed sex and masturbation as entirely different things. I don't see masturbation as something to replace sex, or do instead of sex. I've always masturbated whilst in relationships, it's a really private thing I enjoy whilst alone (but also enjoy it when I have company, there's something very intimate about masturbating when you're with someone, and likewise when you're watching someone masturbate, it's very very intense and I love it).
Also the orgasms I have when I masturbate are absolutely different from those when having sex, I love being in total control of the environment and the pace and experimenting to find new ways to bring about pleasure and orgasm. I've had my most intense and unbelievable orgasms when I've been alone, I can really take my time and explore. I probably think my view is a more 'feminine' one perhaps. Don't know.
