Hii

Does anyone have any tips on getting stains out of a breastfed babies clothes?? Is vanish any good? My aunty suggested Nappisan but not sure where they sell it and whether it works... also any tips on making sure the poo doesn't leak out of their nappy? It seems to go all up her back a lot of the time maybe I'm using the wrong size?

Thanks :):) xx

Soak straight away and rub at the stain with warm water. I also used vanish sensitive, and had no problems. My breastfed babies always had leaky nappies! Trick is to get to them fast! Lol! Once you start weaning the poo firms up and there is less leakage, now there's something to look forward to :-p

The joys of bf poos! At least they don't smell but they don't half stain! I just soak in vanish straight away, does the trick. It could be that the nappy is too small but I think a lot of it is just that it's so watery!

does that work for clothes that are already stained? I've seen a few people suggesting to leave the clothes outside, but looking at the weather not sure if I want to do that lol

Cloth nappy people swear by a bit of sunlight...could try a sunny windowsill if the weather's not reliable!

A friend of mine who is a chemist said about putting stained vests in sun light because poo contains bilirubin and is photo stable ( comes out indirect sun light) . Blow me down it works !!!! Same for pollen in Lilly's!!
This random bit of info has stuck with me, I'm not a chemist lol!!!

Give the stain a good rub with fairy washing up liquid as soon as you take it off , it works wonders on lots of different stains !! Never leave the stained clothes in the washing basket before treating them first or the stain will definitely be hard to remove
